Performance Years Enterprises would like to announce the 2009 Supercar Reunion Official Event car. This year the SCR XII is dedicated to the 1969 Camaro ZL-1’s

The Reunion is celebrating their 12th ANNIVERSARY! Several Supercar Dealer cars are already pre-registered. This promises to be another great gathering of Supercars in one location.

The 12th Annual Supercar Reunion Diecast Collectible will be a 1969 Camaro ZL-1 with the RS option package. ONLY two ZL-1’s were produced with the RS package. The original 50 Zl-1’s were ordered by Fred Gibb Chevrolet with an additional 19 cars built for distribution through other Chevrolet dealers.

This is car #55 of the 69 Camaros, it was delivered to Whit Chevrolet in Fayetteville AR. With a window sticker price of over $8000.00 the Camaro received a lot of lookers but not a lot of people willing to open their check books. To spiff it up a bit, the dealer installed the hood & trunk stripes & the 427 hood call out emblems & the 427–Turbo Jet crossed flag fender emblems. Hoping this would set this Camaro apart & help justify the high price. This low mileage car still exists with its original drive train & paint. This car is formerly of the Otis Chander collection. The ZL-1 recently changed hands from the Dave & Jill Christenholz collection at a Mecum Auction for $800,000.00.

This is a 1/18th scale Hwy 61 Collectible. (VERY Detailed) The car has real scissor type hood hinges, opening doors & trunk. Lift the hood to show the detailed 427 engine with wiring & plumbing. The interior features fabric seat belts with metal buckles, the seats slide fore & aft & seat backs tilt, carpeting and opening glove box. The trunk has the correct spackle paint, jack, and mini spare tire with inflator bottle. Drop the rear license plate to view the gas tank filler neck..! Under the car you will notice the working suspension AND move the rear tires to see the drive shaft rotate!

We then had the car outfitted for the 2009 12th Anniversary Supercar Reunion. We applied a red, white, blue & Chrome Whit Chevrolet Bowtie to the doors and a multi colored & chrome 427 Turbo Jet emblem to the rear window. We also applied a ZL-1 #55 of 69 graphic to the rear quarter panels.

Special thanks to Dennis Cumby for the 1/18th scale window sticker on the rear qtr. Window..!

Special front Illinois Supercar Reunion license plates were then made with September & 09 tags in the corners. The rear Illinois plate has your own serial number of the 150 produced. Due to the request of you collectors, we have also applied a larger Illinois license plate on the front of the box showing your special serial number on the box too.

A special numbered Certificate produced by “Rob Clary” will have your matching serial number. Now the car, box & certificate will all show your own special serial number!

A special 40th ANNIVERSARY graphic was also applied to the front window of the box..!

The window box was then decorated with the special 12th Reunion Anniversary logo on the front (same as used on the event T-Shirts). Dates, location and other information are also listed. Along with the larger Illinois license plate with the serial number of the car.

A Very Limited Chase Car Version will be available again this year..! This will be the #68 ZL-1 R-S Camaro (the other RS optioned ZL-1) Painted in cortez silver with the DX-1 stripe package, black interior and rally wheels.

This car was outfitted with a Guyer Chevrolet crest on the doors a chrome ZL-1 emblem on the back window and the ZL-1 #68 of 69 graphic on the rear quarter panels and the dealer window sticker. Special IL. SCRXII front & rear license plates were applied to the car & also to the box window. All other box graphics are applied to the chase car boxes too.

This is a replica of a B/STOCK GTO that Super Stock & Drag Illustrated Magazine used for their performance testing at Ubly Dragways in Ubly Michigan. As stated in S/S magazine, the editors chose the 65 GTO because of the overwhelming popularity at the nations drag strips. The lil’ GTO didn’t let them down, stopping the clock with a 13.19 quarter mile time and a scorching 105.88 mile per hour! Check out the page from the July 1965 issue.
