Performance Years Enterprises would like to announce the 2006 Supercar Reunion Official Event car. This year the SCR9 is dedicated to the Nickey Chevrolet family of Supercars. Several Supercar Dealer cars are already pre-registered. This promises to be another great gathering of Supercars in one location.
The reunion will be held at the Gateway Center in Collinsville, IL. September 1st & 2nd. Race day will be Friday at Gateway International Raceway. Supercar and Musclecar show on Saturday.
The 9th Annual Supercar Reunion Diecast Collectible will be a 1969 Nickey Camaro. Steve Bimby has mentioned that he knows of two very similar cars sold at Nickey Chevrolet that this car replicates. This is a 1/18th scale limited edition of ONLY 150 pieces. We then had the car outfitted for the 2006 Supercar Reunion. The car has opening hood & doors. Highly detailed engine, interior and undercarriage and rides on Goodyear white letter tires and American Racing Torq Thrust II wheels.
We then applied Red, Blue & Chrome Nickey Chevrolet Crest graphics to the doors and a simulated etched glass “Super S” on the rear window. A 1/18th scale window sticker was made and applied to the driver’s side rear quarter glass. As a bonus we had a custom 1/18th scale show board made to display next to your Nickey Camaro. Special Illinois license plates were then made with Sept & 06 tags in the corners. Front plate reads “Supercar Reunion” and the rear plate has your own serial number of the 150 produced. Due to the request of you collectors, we have also applied a larger Illinois license plate on the front of the box showing your special serial number. Now the Car, Box & the Certificate will all have you matching serial number.
The window box was then decorated with a special “Nickey Hot Rod Parts” decal and the 9th Annual Supercar Reunion logo applied to the front. Dates, location and other information are on the front of the box also. Along with the larger Illinois license plate with the serial number of the car.
Only 150 of these Special Nickey Camaro event cars will be produced!
With such a small number of cars and what is sure to be another GREAT Supercar Reunion, please call early to reserve your car. Serial numbers will be held until August 31st, 2006. Cars are due in September.
