This is a "Production Prototype" car from "Hwy. 61 / Diecast Promotions".

I have acquired several prototype "sample" cars from many manufactures in the last 27 plus years of being in business & I will be periodically adding them to the web site in the "** Factory Sample * Prototype Cars **" section located on the left margin under the "Special Interest" tab.

Prototype Production Sample Car..!

This is from my own personal collection, displayed in a glass display case.

There are several differences from this "SAMPLE" Car to the production cars: *The colors of the HORNET on the trunk lid: should have silver added & the red "Hornet" text should be a brighter red & more bold text.

* The colors of the GRANT decal on the side quarter windows: should be larger and more red, less white.

* This car has a current day "NASCAR" decal in rear window: was not even available in 1952, production car did not have.

* The color of the wheels: sample car wheels are copper colored, should be gold.

* The "Twin H Power" on hood and "HORNET" on sides are too gold, should be more yellow as on the production cars.

* This car has a spare tire affixed: production cars had no spare tire.

* This car has a blank chrome "Sample" rear license plate: production car was painted flat black.

* This car has the wrong "1953 Hudson" hood.

* Since this car came with the 1953 hood with the wrong hood ornament, the hood ornament was removed.

* This car comes with a "CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY..!

This car is in near mint condition with no paint problems, clean dust free.

This car has NO BOX. The car you see in these photos is the car we will ship out. We will pack very carefully.

Opening hood, doors & trunk with correct style hinges, detailed engine with wiring, plug wires & hoses, steerable front wheels, working suspension, drive shaft rotates with rear wheels, detailed interior, carpet, drivers side seat belt, visors, opening glove box, detailed trunk with trunk mat...VERY DETAILED..!
