Performance Years Enterprises would like to announce the future release of the "Dandy Dick Landy" 1968 Dodge Dart Super Stock E/A 440 drag car. Stock #50242. Dick would take his Super Stock cars to the Dodge Performance Clinics. Along with sponsorship from Dodge for Dick's race cars he was asked to promote Dodge's performance parts division (known at the time as Direct Connection Parts) by assembling the "Dick Landy Performance Clinics" at Dodge dealerships all across the nation. One of the favorites was the 1968 Super Stock 440 Dart because of the incredible power to weight ratio. Dick would share his racing and tuning knowledge and demonstrate all of the go fast technologies from the folks at Direct Connection. Just a few of the credentials for the 68 S/S Dart was Super Stock Champion at the 68 Winternationals and winning1968 Division Points Championship. Dick recalls that his S/S Dart acquired more class wins and was awarded more points than any other car in any class racing in 1968 at NHRA sanctioned events. Quite a racing achievement! Dick also mentioned that the 440 Dart was the most trouble free car of his fleet. He said, "no matter how hard or often you ran it, the car just never seemed to brake." The little Dart clicked off a best time in 1968 of 11.70 at 121.70 MPH. Highway 61 Collectibles will be commissioned to produce this very detailed replica of Dick Landy's Super Stock Dart. The Dart will be painted in Landy's original red / silver / blue race day colors. Some of the features will be opening hood, doors and trunk along with a fully wired and plumbed engine compartment and very detailed interior and undercarriage. The NEW Dart from Hwy 61 will be even more detailed than past cars and will offer the collector a very quality detailed collectible at a very affordable price. ONLY 1500 of the Dick Landy Darts will be produced and they are scheduled for an October 2004 release. Also being produced will be SIX gold plated Landy Darts.
