This is our "Hurst Sunshine Special" replica.
In 1970, Hurst Performance Inc. built three "Hurst Sunshine Special" Z28 Camaro prototype cars. Of the three, only one is currently known to exist and is owned by Mike Ryan of Spokane WA.
These cars were equipped with a special sliding fabric sunroof & special Hurst shifter. Chevrolet used these cars for evaluation as an alternative to not having a convertible. Production plans for the Camaro went unapproved but Chevrolet did use this design on their Novas for a couple of years going under the name, Nova Sunchaser.
Here are some photos of the only known Hurst Sunshine Special Camaro. Thanks to Mike W. Ryan.
Pricing for the Hurst Sunshine Special is $114.95
