I have acquired several prototype "sample" cars from many manufactures in the last 27 plus years of being in business & I will be periodically adding them to the web site in the "** Factory Sample * Prototype Cars **" section located on the left margin under the "Special Interest" tab.

I purchased this sample car directly from Fred Ertl III.

*As seen in these photos, this Sample Car has the wrong license plates, Iowa, 20-6538, 1957...should be Pennsylvania, 56D78, 1957..

*The Rear Speaker Grill frame is painted the body color, should be black.

*The front grill is a copper color, should be gold colored.

This sample car has a Factory Plug for the Passenger Side Rear View Mirror...the production car only had the drivers side rear view mirror.

*The oil drain plug should be painted silver.

*Hand Printed stock number on gas tank.

Factory Gold Treatment with the gold front grill, (Sample car is copper colored) front, rear & side emblems..! Full wheel covers & wide white walls, Single rear mount radio antenna.

Opening hood, doors & trunk, scissor type hood hinges & real aspect style door hinges, steerable front wheels working suspension, wired & plumbed engine compartment, carpet, sliding & tilting front seat, poseable sun visors, rotating drive shaft with rear wheels, brake lines, detailed undercarriage, trunk mat, spare tire.

Very Detailed with all of the cool working features "The Original" Hwy. 61 includes..!
