This is a "First Shot Prototype" car from "Hwy. 61 / Diecast Promotions".

This car was acquired from "Fred Ertl III". I will be periodically adding these Sample Cars to the web site in the "** Factory Sample * Prototype Cars **" section located on the left margin under the "Special Interest" tab.

*** Below is some of the several inaccuracies found on this FIRST SAMPLE CAR. ---------------

This SAMPLE CAR has the incorrect stock "Belvedere" (2-tone) paint scheme with the lower body painted silver, ALL "GTX's" were solid paint.

The copper roof color is a darker shade than the production cars.

The "Belvedere GTX" fender emblems are mounted too high on the fender AND the "GTX" emblem has a red outline (should be all chrome).

The "HEMI" and the right side "Pentastar" emblems are mounted too high (should be below the body line.

The wheels are painted copper (should be dark bronze body color).

The tail light panel is black with silver "PLYMOUTH" letters...should be a silver panel with BLACK letters.

The chrome "GTX" emblem on the right side of trunk lid is missing.

The "HEMI 426 decal on the air cleaner is yellow, should be orange.

Has the blank pre-production license plates...production license plates were "Wisconsin A35-908".

The interior carpet, dash, rear package tray & steering wheel is black...these should ALL be copper colored matching the interior.

NOTE the hand written sticker on the gas tank showing Stock Number, Sample Number 1 and the Date it was received at Hwy. 61 for approval.

426 Hemi, GTX dual scoop sport hood, dual exhaust with chrome tips, fender turn signal indicators, sliding & tilting bucket seats, console, opening glove box door AND console door, interior carpet, trunk mat.

Opening hood, doors & trunk all with correct style hinges, steerable front wheels working suspension, wired & plumbed engine compartment, rotating drive shaft with rear wheels.

Plus all of the cool working features The "ORIGINAL" Hwy 61 put in.

Released in 2006.
