This is an "EARLY SAMPLE" car. This car was made to approve the color combinations of exterior & interior colors prior to the production run.

From "Hwy. 61 / Diecast Promotions".

Please note the several mistakes & inaccuracies of this early sample car..!

* NOTE: THE 2-TONE BLUE INTERIOR, DOOR PANELS, DASH AND REAR PACKAGE TRAY (are ALL incorrect)..!

The production cars were changed to the Tri-Tone blue interior. Also with the correct seat pattern AND door panel pattern.((SEE THE PHOTOS OF THE PRODUCTION CAR VS. THE SAMPLE CAR)).

* NOTE: The sample car had the "Magnifier" on the dash, it was deleted on the production cars.

* NOTE: The Clock AND Auto Dimmer on the dash were painted a different color...production cars were same color as the dash.

* NOTE: The "OLDSMOBILE" LETTERED DOOR SILL PLATES ON SAMPLE CAR..! These were never used on any of the production Olds Super 88"s...VERY RARE..!

* NOTE: The incorrect light blue rear package tray.

* NOTE: The trunk did not get the spackle paint finish like the production cars had.

* NOTE: The BLACK WALL SPARE TIRE...the production car had the matching White Wall Spare Tire.

* NOTE: The starter motor should have been painted BLACK.

* NOTE: ALL exhaust & tail pipes should have been painted dark gray.

* NOTE: The mufflers should have been painted SILVER.

* NOTE: The SAMPLE CAR is missing the "Air Cleaner" and has 3 hoses going into the carburetor.

* NOTE: The Sample Car has chrome valve covers...they should be painted gold.

* NOTE: Sample Car intake manifold is painted silver...it should be painted GOLD.

* NOTE: Sample Car is missing the Positive Battery Terminal, the red cable just goes into the top of the battery.

* NOTE: Sample Car does not have the Top Radiator Hose.

* NOTE: The Power Steering Pump is not positioned correctly.

* NOTE: The Ohio License Plates are a brighter red than the production cars.

* NOTE: The hand written stock number tag on the trunk.

This collectible Comes with CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY..!

The car is in excellent condition..!

This sample car came without a box.

Opening hood with correct scissors style hinges, doors open on real aspect type hinges & opening trunk, steerable front wheels, working front & rear suspension, drive shaft rotates with rear wheels, even the little hidden gas door under the left rear tail light flips open...!

Super 88 Rocket V-8, automatic trans., dual exhaust, detailed engine with wiring, plug wires & hoses, detailed interior, carpet, operable visors, sliding front seat with seat back, detailed trunk with spackle painted trunk & spare tire, full wheel covers with wide white walls...VERY DETAILED..!
