This car was made to approve the color combinations of exterior & interior colors, graphics placement, options, wheels & tires, fit & finish prior to going into manufacturing production...!

This collectible does come with "CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY"..!

I purchased this sample car directly from Fred Ertl III / Hwy. 61.

The car is in excellent MINT condition, clean, no missing or broken parts, no issues..!

This sample car does not come in a box..!

This is a Rare Factory Sample Car..!

*~*~* Some of the issues on this Sample Car that was corrected for the production cars. "As seen in these photos" *~*~*

* NOTE: the Cragar mag wheels have the spokes painted turquoise...they should be painted a flat silver.

* The front tires are missing the "Firestone" white letters.

* NOTICE: the Gold Foil "PLYMOUTH" on the front of the hood...the SAMPLE CAR had the lettering too far forward on the edge of the hood...the PRODUCTION CAR had the lettering farther up on the flat part of the hood.

* The Sample Car has an Automatic Transmission...it should have a 4-speed transmission.

* The Sample Car has an automatic transmission cars brake pedal...should have the smaller manual transmission brake pedal.

* The Sample Car is missing the clutch pedal.

* The Sample Car is missing the 4-speed floor shifter...it has the automatic column shifter.

* The Sample Car has an aftermarket "Tachometer" on the steering column...the Production car did not have one.

* The Sample Car did not have the bottom of the hood painted flat black.

* The Sample Car did not have the bottom of the trunk lid OR trunk sides painted flat black.

* NOTE: the factory hand written stock number.

* Comes with a CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY..!
