I have acquired several prototype "sample" cars from many manufactures in the last 29 plus years of being in business, I will be periodically adding them to the web site in the "** Factory Sample * Prototype Cars **" section located on the left margin under the "Special Interest" tab.

I purchased this sample car directly from Fred Ertl III.

This is a Rare One-Off Factory Pre-Production Sample Car..!

This Sample Car is in near perfect mint condition, no missing or broken parts.

Comes with a Certificate Of Authenticity.

This car comes with a Production Outer Box.

*~*~* Some of the issues on this Sample Car that was corrected for the production cars. (As seen in these photos.) *~*~*

* This Sample Car has a totally INCORRECT WHITE interior: the bucket seats, back seats, door panels, sun visors & headliner...the production car has a BLACK interior.

* Sample Car has a 1968 Dodge Dart front grill...should be a 1969 Dart grill.

* Sample Car came with one each of the "Hood Inserts" (one GTS and one Swinger) the insert with the "383" engine call out was used for the production cars.

* Sample Car is missing the "GTS 383" fender emblems.

* Sample Car has no "red line" tires.

* Sample Car has the undercarriage painted green...production car green over spray was much less.

* Sample Car has an automatic transmission...production car is a 4-speed.

* Sample Car has an automatic trans. brake pedal...production cars have the correct 4-speed brake pedal & clutch.

* Comes with a Production outer Box.

* Comes with a "Certificate Of Authenticity"

383 GTS 4-speed, GTS sport hood, MOD TOP, white Bumble Bee stripe, Dodge hub covers & Red Line tires.

Opening hood, doors & trunk, steerable front wheels working suspension, wired & plumbed engine compartment, carpet, seat belts, opening glove box, trunk mat with jack, rotating drive shaft with rear wheels. Plus all of the cool working features Hwy 61 puts in.

VERY Hard to find car.
