This car was made to approve the color combinations of exterior & interior colors, graphics placement, options, wheels, tires, fit & finish prior to going into manufacturing production...!

I purchased this sample car directly from Fred Ertl III / Hwy. 61.

The car is in near excellent condition, clean, nice paint, it is missing the antenna & left fender signal marker.

This sample car DOES come with the outer box..!

This is a Rare Factory Sample Car..!

*~*~* Some of the issues on this Sample Car that was corrected for the production cars. (As seen in these photos.) *~*~*

* This sample car was originally specked out with "BLACKWALL TIRES"...it did have one Goodyear White Letter Tire for comparisons.

* These Blackwall Tires were a taller tire & the side walls were much more flat than production tires.

* The front & rear side marker lamps on sample car Do Not have the CHROME TRIM around the lenses like the production cars do.

* The 4-speed floor shifter is painted black...production cars were chromed.

* The 4-speed shifter ball is white...production cars had a brown wood grain shift ball.

* The 4-speed transmission bell housing is painted ORANGE engine color...production bell housing is painted silver with just the bottom inspection cover is painted orange.

* NOTE: The factory hand written stock number.

* Comes with a CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY..!
