This car was made to approve the color combinations of exterior & interior colors, graphics placement, options, wheels, tires, fit & finish prior to going into manufacturing production...!

This collectible does come with "CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY"..!

I purchased this sample car directly from Fred Ertl III / Hwy. 61.

The car is in excellent condition, clean, no missing or broken parts..!

This sample car DOES come with a mint outer box..!

This is a Rare Factory Sample Car..!

*~*~* Some of the issues on this Sample Car that was corrected for the production cars. (As seen in these photos.) *~*~*

* Blue center stripe is too light of blue.

* Hood scoop is painted a dark blue without metallic.

* "RONNIE SOX" lettering is missing from top of driver door.

* The contingency decals on side of car have the wrong placement & decals.

* The Chrome trim on side of car is not on the sample car.

* The head lights do not have the proper BLUE TINT.

* Sample car has the wrong race class & decals on the rear quarter glass.

* Sample car has the wrong race class on windshield.

* Sample Car has windshield wipers...these were deleted on the production race car.

* Production Cars had a BENCH SEAT...this sample car has bucket seats.

* The "GTX" trunk emblem was not on the production cars...this sample car is incorrect.

* The rear tail light panel should be SILVER.

* The rear license plate is wrong on this sample car.

* Sample Car has a black air cleaner...production cars just have the chrome air cleaner base.

* Sample car is missing the alternator.

* Sample car should not have heater hoses.

* Sample Car should not have windshield washer tank.

* Sample car should not have a full exhaust.

* Sample Car headers should be WHITE.

* Sample Car should have a silver rear axle cover.

* Production race cars had the Battery in the trunk.

* NOTE: The hand written stock number on muffler.

* Comes with a CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY..!
