I purchased this sample car directly from Fred Ertl III / Highway 61 Collectibles.

The car is in excellent condition, clean, no missing or broken parts..!

This sample car does not come in a box.

This is a Rare Factory Sample Car..!

*~*~* Some of the issues on this Sample Car that was corrected for the production cars. (As seen in these photos.) *~*~*

** This sample car has matching front & rear "American Racing" mag wheels...the production cars had BLACK Steele rear rims.

** This Sample Car has a "4-Point" roll bar system...the production cars have a "3-Point" roll bar.

** The Roll Bar holes in the inner rear wheel wells are plugged on the production cars.

** This Sample Car does not have the column mounted gear shift lever.

** The Sample Car has regular headlamps...the production cars have "Custom Chrome Disk" headlamp caps.

** Sample Car should NOT have a "Cool Can" mounted on left inner fender.

** Sample Car is missing the "Black Valve Cover Breather Caps" on both valve covers.

** This Sample Car has the wrong BLACK spark plug wires...the production cars have "RED" spark plug wires.

** The Sample Car did not come with a "Tachometer Wire"...production cars have it.

** This Sample Car has "TWO Coils", should NOT have the coil mounted on the passenger inner fender...production cars only have the original intake manifold mounted coil.

** Sample is missing the silver painted coil bracket.

** This Sample Car is missing: the painted Ballast Resistor and 2 other resistors along with the painted wiring on firewall.

** Sample Car is missing the "Chrome Fuel Tank" AND fuel line in the trunk.

** The "Parachute Tub" and "Trunk Braces" should be painted BLACK like the production cars.

** Sample Car is missing the "Parachute Cords".

** The Parachute is missing the added paint details on the seams.

** The trunk mounted battery is missing the added paint details.

** This Sample Car's front "X Member" should be painted SILVER as on the production Cars.

** The Leaf Spring rivets are painted black on the production cars.

** NOTE: The factory hand written Stock Number AND Date of Sample on the chassis.

** Comes with a CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY..!

Supercar Issue #4 in the Altered Wheel Base Mopar Series. Released in 2010.

ONLY 402 cars were produced..!

This is a replica of the "Melrose Missile" 1965 Dodge Coronet altered wheel base (AWB) AFX. Driven by "Cecil Yother".

Features include a lift off hood with hood pins, opening doors & trunk with correct style hinges, steerable front wheels, working suspension.

Fully wired and plumbed 426 Hemi, 727 automatic, 8 3/4 rear axle, trunk mounted fuel cell, accurate single seat race interior with cloth seat belts, carpet, Tach. on the dash, aftermarket gauges in the dash, roll bar, rear seat delete, parachute pull handle. The trunk opens to see the larger battery mounted back there with wiring, the chassis has the moved forward front X-member, rotating driveshaft with rear wheels, and real metal leaf springs, rear parachute & American Racing Torque Thrust mag wheels with slicks & skinnies....very detailed..! With many more cool details that "The Original" Highway 61 cars had..!.
