This is a "SAMPLE Model" From "Hwy. 61 / Diecast Promotions".

This car was made to approve the color combinations of exterior & interior colors, graphics placement, options, wheels & tires, fit & finish prior to going into manufacturing production...! But...this car never went into production..!

This collectible does come with "CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY"..!

I purchased this sample car directly from Fred Ertl III / Hwy. 61.

The car is in very nice condition..!

This sample car does not come in a box..!

* The "OAI" air intakes are chromed...they should be Black.

* This sample car has a "chromed" spare wheel...it should be Black.

* This sample car wheel covers were "all chromed"...the production wheel covers had a Black outer rim.

** These was no provision drilled for the driver outside rear view mirror.

* Missing the front & rear license plates...they had not assigned a plate designation to this car.

* The engine color is wrong.

* The transmission color is wrong.

* Hwy. 61 had this car photoed & featured in their catalog, but never went into production.

* Comes with "Certificate Of Authenticity"
