This is a "Pre-Production Sample Model" This car was made to approve the color combinations of exterior & interior colors, graphics colors & placement, part & wheel placement, fit & finish prior to going into manufacturing...!
*** NOTE: This sample car was originally specified to have the "Dual Scoop-Sport Hood". You can see on the hood where the aligning holes for the dual scoops were filled for this early sample car. This car was later decided to have the stock hood for production.
*** ALSO NOTE: The hand written stock number tag on the chassis.This collectible Comes with CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY..!
I purchased this sample car directly from Fred Ertl III.
The car is in very good condition, it is missing the right tail light lens..!
This sample car came without a box.

This was a Limited Edition of ONLY 600 Cars..!'69 "Formula S" 383, with the VERY RARE factory recall warranty return mag wheels..!Factory "Kelsey Hayes" warranty return "Chrysler Recall" road wheels & red line tires..!
Fully wired & plumbed 383 Super Commando 4 bbl. big block engine and engine compartment, chrome valve covers, dual exhaust with chrome tips, carpet, seat belts, sliding & flip forward bucket seats, console, check out the rear seat back even folds down like the real car, opening glove box, spare tire & jack in trunk, and underneath is a detailed chassis with dual exhaust.
Check out the V.I.N. number on top of the dash..!Opening hood, doors & trunk with correct style hinges, steerable front wheels, functioning suspension, drive shaft rotates with rear wheels..!
Plus all of the cool working features "The ORIGINAL "Hwy. 61 put in.
