This car was made to approve the color combinations of exterior & interior colors, graphics placement, options, wheels, tires, fit & finish prior to going into manufacturing production...!

This collectible does come with "CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY"..!

I purchased this sample car directly from Fred Ertl III / Hwy. 61.

The car is in near excellent condition, clean, it is missing the mirror head.

This sample car does not come in a box..!

***************** Specifications of The Production Car ******************

* This sample car has the CORRECT RED inner door panels...the production cars were WRONG, they came with BLACK inner door panels.

* This sample car has the CORRECT RED inner rear quarter panels...the production cars were WRONG, they came with BLACK inner rear quarter panels.

* The interior color red of this sample car is wrong, it is shades too light of red...it was corrected with a darker red for the production cars.

* The "PONTIAC" emblem on rear tail light panel is placed too low...it should be in center of panel, also corrected for production cars.

* The production cars did NOT come with inner red fender wells...they are black.

* This sample car has TWO radiator caps...the one on the right side was deleted for production cars.

* This sample car battery has RED battery caps...the production car battery caps are yellow.

* The gas tank colors are wrong on this sample car...the gas tank should be SILVER with BLACK gas tank straps.

* The jack in the trunk should be painted silver as was the production cars.

* This sample car did not have license plate designation issued at time of sample...production license is (6-R-3035).

* NOTE: stock number printed on muffler.

* Comes with a CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY..!

Opening hood with real scissor type hinges, opening doors with real aspect ratio hinges & opening trunk, steerable front wheels working suspension, wired & plumbed engine & engine compartment, carpet, sliding & tilting bucket seats, seat belts, opening glove box, spatter painted trunk with trunk mat & spare tire & jack, rotating drive shaft with rear wheels.

Plus all of the cool working features "The ORIGINAL" Hwy. 61 put in.
