This is a "Pre-Production Sample Car from Hwy. 61 / Diecast Promotions"...that was used to proof the colors & details prior to manufacturing...!

I have acquired several prototype "sample" cars from many manufactures in the last 28 plus years of being in business & I will be periodically adding them to the web site in the "** Factory Sample * Prototype Cars **" section located on the left margin under the "Special Interest" tab.

I purchased this sample car directly from Fred Ertl III.

This is a Rare One Off Factory Sample Car, this car was used to proof colors, graphics, options, fit & finish prior to going into production..!

This Sample Car is in near perfect condition..! It does have a loose driver side hood hinge.

Comes with a Certificate Of Authenticity.

The car you see in these photos is the car we will ship out. This sample car was purchased without a box. We will pack very carefully.

*As seen in these photos, this Sample Car has many discrepancies from the production cars. (see photos) *This car was sampled with a DODGE hub cap on the right front wheel that was not used on the production car.- *This sample car had NO EMBLEMS, missing the front fender Belvedere, Pentastar, hood Plymouth, trunk Plymouth.- *This car was sampled before the license was assigned to the car, the production car had a black rear license detail.- *This sample was missing the spare tire, jack & dual quad carb. stacks.- *The sample car came with black carpet, should be tan.- *The production car should have chrome valve covers, sample car was painted silver.- *No under hood decals on engine or radiator support.- *The sample car was incorrectly painted "all red" undercarriage, should be gray with red overspray.- *Note the factory "stock number" tag on undercarriage.

Replica of the R01 Factory Plymouth Race Car..!

425 H.P. Hemi with 12.5:1 compression ratio, special solid lifter cam shaft, intake, heads & factory headers. Thin-gauge steel body components and lightweight glass in the doors, rear-quarters, and rear glass. Light weight Dodge van seats were used & the rear seat, heater, radio & passenger wiper was deleted.

Very detailed car with opening hood with correct style hinges, opening doors with correct style hinges & opening trunk, steerable front wheels, opening glove box, working suspension, drive shaft rotates with rear wheels.

426 Super Stock Hemi with dual Holly 4 bbls., fully plumbed & wired engine compartment, fuel line with fuel filters, automatic trans., slicks & skinnies, Super Stock hood scoop, super stock interior..!

Along with all of the cool features that "The Original" Hwy. 61 cars had.
